Boys wanna touch my junk? Is this for real?

Just walking to work from the creepy, could be murdered parking lot at around 8:30 AM last Wednesday. I see two guys walking the opposite way. I didn't really notice them at first, but one of them started inching towards me.

To my surprise, as our paths met, he just swung his arm and grabbed my junk. Literally. He just took a swing and a grab. WTF?!? Who does that is broad daylight?

Once that happened, he just looked at me, grabbed my shoulder and said "Oh, I'm so sorry," and walked off laughing with his friend.

The pervert: approximately 25, tall, dark hair, a little grungy
His lame friend: Approximately 30, tall, skinny, and stupid.

If someone had taken a picture of my face, I'm pretty sure it looked like I just had 10 shots of botox. I couldn't move, I didn't even know how to react. Who prepares themselves for this...An earthquake, yes... this no!

So as this happens, I just keep thinking about the song by Keisha, the lyrics say "boys wanna touch my junk, junk." I thought this song was a little bit lame, but now, it's a reflection of my life.

Where's my pants?

So you think that getting dressed should be easy by now, right? Wrong!!!

For the past 2 or 3 months, my life has felt like it's been going a million miles an hour. Work, school, friends, family, traveling... everything just seems to be happening and I can barely keep things straight.

That is why, I walked out of my condo with no pants on! Yes, no pants. I don't even know how I forgot my pants, but remembered my shoes.

I walked out the door about 100 feet to my car and thought to myself that it was unnaturally cold. I look down, yep, definitely missing pants. Luckily it was early enough that there wasn't very many people, except one guy. Oh well, he got a pretty good peep show... hahaha.

Why our family should never get the iphone :(

We all just got brand new cell phones about a week ago. Goodbye 2002 razor and hello LG EnV3. It even has a keyboard, so I'm sort of 2007ish. I'll never be cool enough to be 2010 though :) My friend Tuhin explained why I will always be 2000 and late... "Phones breed like rabbits." Thanks Tuhin.

I was so excited to get our new phones, that I forgot how wonderful my razor really was. Now that I have my new phone, it's so much more difficult than I thought it would be. I feel like a cell phone degenerate... Yes degenerate when I use my phone. A monkey typing on a keyboard... Ooh.. Ooh... eee...eee ...Why you ask?

  1. I am now the slowest texter backer with a keyboard.

  2. When I'm texting with the keyboard, I accidentally pick up a call and people start talking to me.

  3. I haven't been able to figure out how to change my ring when I have a voicemail. Unfortunately, the default rings sounds like a porn song... I was standing by my best friend Julia and it started ringing... She said it sounds like a porn song and everyone else around us agreed... True story.

My mom on the other hand loves the phone. She barely knows how to answer her razor, so I don't know what she's going to do with this phone. She actually wanted the iphone, but we told her no. She doesn't even have her own voice on her voicemail. It's my dad saying, "this is Hanh's phone."

My mom said for months she wanted a "touch, touch, touch (with touchscreen motions)." When she got this phone, she's been telling everyone how the keyboard is "so cute." Unfortuately, she still doesn't know which way the keyboard opens, but every single person who walks by she tells them "keyboard...So cute." She's so amazed that they make a full keyboard that small. I love my mom... I think she's so cute. Yes mom, this is 2010 and we have keyboards that small.

My dad got a LG Chocolate Touch. He loves it. He thinks it is the best thing next to the Lexus RX. He can listen to FM and AM radio on his touch. We were sitting in the living room as he learned to work his phone...he was showing me all of the functions and it's pretty cool. Not as cool as the iphone, but nothing will ever be.

Anyways, he's trying to show me the voice recognition feature and here's how the conversation went:

Attempt #1

Dad: Call Linda

Phone: Calling Xing Ming Xao

Attempt #2

Dad: I said call Linda

Phone: Calling Mai Ling Pin

Dad: I said Linda, not another Asian!

Attempt #3

Dad: Call Linda

Phone: Calling hospital

Dad: You so stupid. You not so smart. You can't call Linda (Imagine with cute Asian accent)

Attempt #4

Dad: Call Liana (My little sister)

Phone: Calling Linda

Dad: I give up. Now call Linda? I don't want Linda. Stupid phone. Think it's broken Linda.

Me: Dad it's not broken, but why don't you just type in my number.

Dad: I like that. Phone won't mess up numbers, it know better..

Apparently, the voice recognition translates everything to Chinese names. Who knew... With all these problems with these simple phones, how would we be able to handle the iphone? Seriously, we'd be like Hansel in Zoolander who couldn't get the files out of the computer.

Retraction of Love and such is life...

I just turned in my last final for winter semester! It feels wonderful, but a little sad at the same time. As I turn in this paper, it means I only have one more semester until I graduate. I'm officially on break, well except for work.

So I have to retract all of my love for my previous favorite MBA people. I still love Megan, Julio, and Matt, but otherwise, the rest are on my blacklist except Tepin and my field study group. You ask why? Simple answer...

#1- This semester we had to play the role of a "consultant" for a specific company. Ours happened to be the Marriott Library. I had one of the best groups ever with my field study next to my Mean Green group. My original group that was formed the beginning of last year. Anyways, as one of my marketing initiatives, I held an open house. We sent out an email to all MBAers... No one showed. Wow, no love for us. Tepin was the only person who showed up. We even had free food. Boo for my classmates!

#2- I bought everyone in my class, yes all 50 people Christmas gifts. I sent an email to have them arrange a time to get their gifts because I'm not on campus a lot. Only like 5 people emailed me. My plan to give presents backfired. Now I have a slew of Christmas gifts sitting at my house and no one to claim them. Lame!

Yes, this is a public declaration that I do not love my classmates. They don't love me... Now I have to fill my heart with other people, hehe.

The mess cake

So for Tony's birthday, I made a cake instead of my usual cupcakes. That was the biggest mistake of my life. I made the batter according to the box and put it in the oven around mid-night. I remember going to take a shower, watch tv, etc... Then I heard the beep... The cakes were done. I made two pans because I was going to make a giant football since Tony loves Fantasy Football, whatever that is...

Here's the final product... I put a note with it saying "Like this cake, my life is a mess without you." What else could I do...

Life as a musical

So I don't know how many of you were fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but if you didn't, you are missing out. Buffy was such an addicting television series! Buffy was one of the best times of my life and one of the best episode was Buffy the Musical.

I just love musicals... High School Musical 1, 2, and 3. Glee is my newest addicition. It is so good! It's on Fox and if you haven't watched, you should. The songs are fantastic!

I wish life were a musical and here's why:

  1. Everyone would share their feelings. You couldn't help, but sing about love, sorrow, and anger. There's no guessing how someone feels.
  2. No one would be fat (i.e. ME). With any good musical number, there better be lots of dancing. Dancing and singing all the time=Best exercise routine ever.
  3. It would make life so interesting.
  4. Everyone would be in unison. It would be so cool!

What does Linda want for Christmas?

Black Friday is coming up and I'm going to try and get all my Christmas shopping done in one day. I know... right? We'll see what happens, Macy's is having a giant sale, so let's see if I make it out of the clothing section.

Remember when we were little and we made lists to Santa? I was thinking what I wanted for Christmas...

  1. Neosporin to go
  2. Karaoke Machine
  3. Fedora Hat
