American Idol started last week and it's fabulous! I can't believe that it is already season 8. It makes me feel extremely old because I started watching during season 1 with Kelly Clarkson and Justin. This is back in the day when there were two hosts, Ryan Seacrest and Duncan. I can't even really remember Duncan because Ryan Secrest is such a great MC. I love him!
I missed my chance this year, but hopefully they come back to SLC. I absolutely love Ryan Secrest. One of my best friends, Julie Farley and I have been waiting for the day that we could meet him, but she was not in SLC when they came this year. I couldn't go audition without her because I don't think that I would make it to Hollywood, but I could meet and hug Ryan! Meeting Ryan Secrest is on my list of 100 things to do before I die.
This year on idol there was Bikini Girl. She wore a bikni to audition. She was actually quite good, but there's been so much buzz around her. The second guy that I would love to highlight is Scott MacIntyre. He is blind, but he can play the piano and his voice incredible. His voice reminds me of Jim Brickman and James Morrison. He is someone who I predict could easily be in the top 10. He has the voice, the look, and charisma.
America's Best Dance Crew started auditions as well and right now I'm not as impressed with the team, but you never know what other teams will come as on the weeks follow.
The City, Real World: Brooklyn, and Bromance are on MTV. I really love these shows. They are all reality shows and probably totally set up, but it's still very entertaining to watch.
For those who were fans of Pushing Daisies... I'm sorry it is no longer on the air.

Mid-twenties Crisis
Now that I'm 23, I feel like there's so much more responsibility. Don't you? Schools ending and I decided to take the summer off. A summer to take care of me. Start exercising, golfing, and doing the things I like. I'm also making a list of things to do this summer.. If anyone would l.ike to join me, that would be great...
- Play 18 holes
- Try out for American Idol aka meet Ryan Seacrest
- Get a pink bike
- Run a marathon
- Go cliff jumping
- Go to vegas and see a show... Lion King?
I used to be a very structured person. Not the new Linda. I've come to the realization that life is way too short. You need to really live each day. Take every opportunity to live it up. Do what you want and do what makes you happy. I think our main problem is worrying what everyone else thinks. Really in the end, it's ok to be a little selfish. I hope you all do what you want because I am!

New Years means fabulous deals
This is a little overdue, but I'm catching up on my posts. Each New Year's Day, Dillards has an incredible sale. You take 50% additional off permantly marked clearance item.
I have never really gone shopping on Black Friday and this was probably equally as bad. There were swarms of people everywhere, especially in women's shoes. People were taking anything in sight. One time I put my boxes on the floor and a person tried to grab it. When I saw my beautiful black boots in the hands of someone else, I jumped up so fast to grab them. I don't think she saw me coming, but I had to be swift as an eagle to get the best things.
I went a little crazy... I bought 6 new coats for myself. They are so beautiful... I just could not help myself.
Please all of you must help me stop my shopping addiction. It is deadly to my wallet!

Redesigning a blog- Lots of work
I spent the whole weekend designing my blog. I did not realize how hard it was and how careful you have to be? I deleted my widgets many times, but in the end this is why I love my blog and it was worth it...
- It's a way that I can keep in touch with everyone while I'm working and in school
- I was able to make the header something that reflects me.. What can I say? I love shopping.
- I'm extending my life. I read in an article in US News that people who blog are more happy because it's another way of communicating.

Let it snow! Let it snow!
The snow just never stopped coming over these past few weeks! My aunt was supposed to fly in on December 19th, but her plane got canceled with the arrival of the first big storm. My cousin from Corona, Cali came over to stay with us over her school break and it was so much fun to have her. I love my cousin!
Since she has never really experienced the greatness of snow, she was super excited with everything from the snow falling to icicles. It made me realize how much we take snow for granted here. I know that each time I hear about a snow storm I have 3 thoughts in my head...
1. This sucks, we have to shovel the snow.
2. Traffic is going to be a pain in the you know what....
2. It's is so cold and my hair and purse is going to get wet.
Having my cousin here brought me back to my childhood. We took her sledding and my dad even found our sled from when we were little and our hot pink snow pants for my cousin too.

We also made a hecka-tight snowman. We have a video of our efforts. We had a brilliant idea of rolling the snowball down the hill in my backyard, but it was gigantic, so it created a few problems trying to make the head and the middle proportional. We had to have four people to lift the head on and also one person standing on a chair. In the end, our snowman was awesome! Since it hasn't been as cold, the snowman looks like he's been losing weight. It makes me sort of sad.

Start of a New Year!
Can you believe another year has come and gone? Every year when the clock strikes 12 o clock, it always makes me feel a little sad. I look back on the year and realize how quickly time flies. What have I done with my life? What have I seen?
It's so easy to let time slip by. I wish I had done more this year.
There were some highlights for 2008, some mile stones:
- I went to Cabo San Lucus with my best friend Kim by ourselves. This was my first time out of the country, other than Canada and it felt very adult like.
- I started the MBA program
- Took real golf lessons instead of just getting tips here and there. Also bought a pink golf set.
- I got new and exciting responsibilities at Zions
It's time to set up New Year's resolutions! Here are mine listed below...
- Lose 25 lbs
- Hit past 150 yards with my irons
- Get at least 6 hours of sleep a night
Tell me what some of your resolutions are!
