So I wake up today, thinking "what a great day!" I head to the gym and run a mile. I am not a natural runner by all means, I am slow and have to take breaks, but my goal is to make it through the U of U alumni 5K on September 26. I have to do it, it gives me motivation towards a goal and get in shape.
So, I run 2 miles and then decide to head to the library. I wanted to pick up this book called "The Power of Nice," while I wait for my sister to finish class and I am going to get some work done. Oh no, I asked too much for a peaceful day...
I walk over to the library and pick up the newspaper for my dad. My dad has this quirk where he wants all three newspapers. Yes, all three... Salt Lake Tribe, USA Today, and New York Times. He seriously sits in our living room and spends close to 2 hours everyday reading each section, except sports.
On a side note, he is the reason, newspapers still exists. Let's face it, our generation doesn't sit down and read a newspaper that much anymore. We get our news by television, cnn.com, etc.. and sadly enough sometimes tweets and facebook status updates. My dad is the lone generation that still loves reading something that is gigantic and makes your fingers all black. Also, it smells funny.
So I pick up the three newspapers and noticed one of the headers was the "New Fall Television Preview." I was reading and walking and my foot slipped into the flower bed and I tumbled down. This wasn't just a small fall, this was basically falling flat on the hard cement. When I hit the ground, my waterbottle flew from my hand, bag flew, all my papers for the "chili affair" flew as well.
I left a giant mess around me. I turned around and this boy (Ryan) ironically a grad student in the sociology department ran up to help me and I was so embarassed. He asked if I was ok, I told him I was just reading and walking. He laughed and said, yeah I saw that you were about to fall in the flower bed and he made me feel a lot better that he falls all the time and that whoever is here at the Library on a Saturday falls as well. So now we are falling friends, but it's still really embarassing.
My knee is bleeding as well and I have shorts on. People must think I was attacked by a wild animal. Sad :(

How did this come to be???
I never thought I would be considered a "workaholic." Little did I know myself, I am one. I think I've bitten off more than I can chew, I'm talking about school, work, and extracurriculars. School is a full time job, but I have a "real" full-time job too that takes care of the bills. Boo for bills.
Well, I usually deal really well with stress, but right now, I have many doubts, especially with work. Lately, I have found myself thinking about nothing but work. I consistently dream about work 2 to 3 times a week. I also have panic attacks, especially when I think how far behind I am.
Why is this? Has anyone else felt this way or am I just crazy? I feel like I'm in a kun-nun-drum (I can't spell this...) and I really don't know what to do. I want to go back to having a life without consistent worrying. The other day, I found a full-length white hair. OMG! I'm going to have to start using hair dye soon. YIKES.

Life is full of ups and downs...
First off, Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush broke up! Devastating... I watched Keeping up with the Kardashians religiously every Sunday since Season 1 and these two seemed to happy. I thought they were perfect like two shiny pennies, was I wrong. My heart is a little bit sadder after hearing this.
I almost fell at work today... twice. The first time I stumbled like a drunk and luckily caught myself on a nearby table. It made a loud enough sound that two of my friends mentioned again how worried they are. Oy vey!
Last week, my skirt accidentally decided to tuck itself in when I was sitting in class. Of course I didn't know and bam... I flashed my class. Who knows how many people saw... I guess all I can say is... at least I wore underwear and didn't pull a Britney Spears. I'm sticking to pants for a while.
I don't know how these things happen. It's like when I fell in the shower a few months ago. I scared the hell out of my roommate. It was a slow motion fall where I saw my life flash before my very eyes. I didn't know where or when I would hit the tub, but on the way down, I took my shower curtain and the rod with me. That's the noise my roomie heard, she was pounding at the door, but I told her not to come in! Awkward!!!
On Access Hollywood, they did a story on this YouTube video that has become a huge hit. This couple decided to do a dance to "Forever" by Chris Brown for their walk down the aisle. So I checked it out... Saturday- 2 million hits.... fast forward to today- 11 million hits. Huh?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-94JhLEiN0
Not going to lie though, I'm not doing do a boring walk down the aisle after this. I'm totally composing a medley and having my bridal party dance their faces off. They better watch out!
More to love... A reality show that has a boy or girl falling in love with average sized people, not perfectly beautiful people like on the bachelor. It premieres on Fox tonight Hmm... can I say it's going to be a hit! Where can I sign up? I'm all over this business.
My sister is waiting outside the Marriot Library to pick me up. I have to go. She's hungry and it would be rude to keep her waiting.

Shopping is my medicine
I never realized, but I have a tendency to fill any emotion with shopping. It does not matter if I'm sad, angry, or happy I just can't get enough of shopping. It always makes me happy, especially finding great deals. That makes me even more happy.
I went shopping with Tamara and Katie dear today and it was so much fun. Even though I went MIA for a while, I was helping Tammy picks clothes and my favorite part of the day was when Katie said that it's so funny to see Tammy taking directions from another person. I'm not usually decisive, but when it comes to shopping, I can make decisions in 2 seconds and do percentages in my head in like 5. It comes from childhood when my dad would not let me buy anything unless I could accurately do the math. So I learned never to ask him, "How much is this dress if it's 33% off?" This would mean no dress if I asked.
I had so much fun today and I received my daily dose of shopping. Thanks Tammy and Katie!!!!

The Best Shows are Back!!!
American Idol started last week and it's fabulous! I can't believe that it is already season 8. It makes me feel extremely old because I started watching during season 1 with Kelly Clarkson and Justin. This is back in the day when there were two hosts, Ryan Seacrest and Duncan. I can't even really remember Duncan because Ryan Secrest is such a great MC. I love him!
I missed my chance this year, but hopefully they come back to SLC. I absolutely love Ryan Secrest. One of my best friends, Julie Farley and I have been waiting for the day that we could meet him, but she was not in SLC when they came this year. I couldn't go audition without her because I don't think that I would make it to Hollywood, but I could meet and hug Ryan! Meeting Ryan Secrest is on my list of 100 things to do before I die.
This year on idol there was Bikini Girl. She wore a bikni to audition. She was actually quite good, but there's been so much buzz around her. The second guy that I would love to highlight is Scott MacIntyre. He is blind, but he can play the piano and his voice incredible. His voice reminds me of Jim Brickman and James Morrison. He is someone who I predict could easily be in the top 10. He has the voice, the look, and charisma.
America's Best Dance Crew started auditions as well and right now I'm not as impressed with the team, but you never know what other teams will come as on the weeks follow.
The City, Real World: Brooklyn, and Bromance are on MTV. I really love these shows. They are all reality shows and probably totally set up, but it's still very entertaining to watch.
For those who were fans of Pushing Daisies... I'm sorry it is no longer on the air.

Mid-twenties Crisis
Now that I'm 23, I feel like there's so much more responsibility. Don't you? Schools ending and I decided to take the summer off. A summer to take care of me. Start exercising, golfing, and doing the things I like. I'm also making a list of things to do this summer.. If anyone would l.ike to join me, that would be great...
- Play 18 holes
- Try out for American Idol aka meet Ryan Seacrest
- Get a pink bike
- Run a marathon
- Go cliff jumping
- Go to vegas and see a show... Lion King?
I used to be a very structured person. Not the new Linda. I've come to the realization that life is way too short. You need to really live each day. Take every opportunity to live it up. Do what you want and do what makes you happy. I think our main problem is worrying what everyone else thinks. Really in the end, it's ok to be a little selfish. I hope you all do what you want because I am!

New Years means fabulous deals
This is a little overdue, but I'm catching up on my posts. Each New Year's Day, Dillards has an incredible sale. You take 50% additional off permantly marked clearance item.
I have never really gone shopping on Black Friday and this was probably equally as bad. There were swarms of people everywhere, especially in women's shoes. People were taking anything in sight. One time I put my boxes on the floor and a person tried to grab it. When I saw my beautiful black boots in the hands of someone else, I jumped up so fast to grab them. I don't think she saw me coming, but I had to be swift as an eagle to get the best things.
I went a little crazy... I bought 6 new coats for myself. They are so beautiful... I just could not help myself.
Please all of you must help me stop my shopping addiction. It is deadly to my wallet!
